Teachers are encouraged to check out VOX Books for their classrooms. They’re simple to use—just press play and the story begins! Whether during small-group rotations, listening centers, or independent reading time, VOX Books make literacy both engaging and accessible.
VOX books are for classroom and library use only. To request VOX books for your classroom, please send an email to Michelle or Maggie at least two days in advance of your lesson with the number of books requested. Or feel free to place copies on hold yourself via your library account.
VOX collections may be checked out to your classroom for 2 weeks.
The library is here as a partner in this mission, providing resources, support, and opportunities to help students discover the joy of reading and to strengthen their skills as lifelong learners. As your school librarian, I want to share with you how to get the most up-to-date news coverage FOR FREE (and legally) using access to the library's online databases.
Access includes full-text of the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Green Bay Press Gazette, + hundreds more.

The database covers more than 560 topics across dozens of categories. Each topic includes an Overview (objective background), Point (argument), Counterpoint (opposing argument or alternate perspective) and a Guide to Critical Analysis to help students evaluate controversial topics and develop their own perspectives.
